Originally from Italy, Picnic Time’s creators, Mario Tagliati and Gustavo Cosaro, have long been aficionados of good food, good wine, and good company. They’ve made it their business to bring a little bit of La Dolce Vita to all of us.

Former owners of a successful gourmet and wine store, famous for its holiday gift baskets, they sought to create a unique line of gifts that could be sold year round. They introduced a series of traditional high-quality picnic baskets in 1982 and before long, other retailers were clamoring to purchase wholesale baskets for their own stores. Picnic Time was born!

In 1987, they created the world’s first insulated picnic backpack and have continued to pioneer the most innovative picnic products ever since.
